
Commander-in-Chief Holds a Meeting with Officers of the Armed Forces and Rapid Support

Wednesday, June 15, 2022 – The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, held this morning at the General Command an enlightening meeting of the officers of the Armed Forces and Rapid Support, during which he reviewed the current political developments in the country, stressing the leadership’s firm stance towards issues of security and stability of the country, and stressing the adherence of the leadership The armed forces should engage in a comprehensive dialogue facilitated by the tripartite mechanism, which does not exclude anyone except the National Congress Party as the only way out that crosses the country in this transitional period and leads to achieving national consensus and reaching the stage of the election.
He also stressed that there is no room for any bilateral alliance with any specific party.
In the same context, His Excellency reiterated the continuation of efforts to develop the defense capabilities of the armed forces to counter any attempts targeting the country’s security and stability.
His Excellency warned the attendees not to pay attention to rumors, recalling that the security system is not capable of bidding on its nationalism or the unity of its national aims and objectives and that it is at the heart of one man and can proceed with its development and restructuring procedures on clear scientific foundations.
This came in the presence of the Armed Forces Staff, the leaders of the main forces, the inspector general, directors of departments and branches, and unit commanders of the armed forces and rapid support.
