Fifth International Oilseeds Conference to Convene in Khartoum

The Chairman of the National Chamber of Exporters, Omer Bashir Al-Khalifa has said in a press conference that the Fifth Sudanese International Oilseeds Conference will convene on 18 – 19 November, noting that the conference comes in implementation of the Chamber’s strategic plan as part of a series of conferences and exhibitions.
He indicated that the conference is similar to the international conferences held in China and India, and there is an upcoming conference in Ethiopia, noting that the conference will review eight working papers on trade and production of sesame and peanuts in the countries of China, India, Ethiopia, west and east Africa.
According to Al-Khalifa, about 15 Arab countries will participate in the conference during which several scientific papers will be discussed to review the experiences of China, India and Ethiopia, pointing out that Egypt, Japan, Turkey will participate for the first time.
He said that Sudan will present papers on Groundnuts, Sunflower, Maize and peanuts to achieve high productivity and opening new markets in Europe and the Arab Maghreb.
