
Vice President of the Sovereignty Council meets Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi

The Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, met today in Abu Dhabi with His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court.
The meeting discussed the close bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance and develop them, in a way that serves common interests.
The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council affirmed the strength of relations between Sudan and the United Arab Emirates, and its continuous support for the development and stability process in Sudan, and expressed his thanks and appreciation to the government and people of the Emirates for supporting development and stability efforts in Sudan, especially its efforts within the Quartet mechanism to facilitate dialogue between the Sudanese, pointing out He stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination in all fields.
In addition, His Excellency gave a detailed explanation to Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed about the current political situation in Sudan, in light of the framework agreement that was signed last December, and the efforts made to restore the path of civil rule, and the exit of the military institution from political work.
For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed affirmed the UAE’s support for the framework agreement, which was recently signed between the Sudanese parties, to address the current political crisis and make the transitional period a success, which establishes steps to ensure the building of a civilian-led government, and the achievement of everything that would lead to “stability, growth and prosperity.” Sudan.
