Afwerki and Daglo discuss the path of bilateral relations between Khartoum and Asmara

The Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki received, in Asmara today, the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, in the presence of the Eritrean Foreign Minister Osman Salih, and on the Sudanese side, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Daffallah Al-Haj Ali.
The meeting discussed the path of the close bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to strengthen and develop them to serve common interests, as well as regional and international issues of common concern.
The meeting stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two sides in all fields.
The Eritrean President welcomed the visit of the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council to Asmara, referring to the eternal relations that unite the peoples of the two countries, indicating that he is following with great interest the developments in Sudan, stressing that his country supports all efforts that achieve stability for the Sudanese people.
For his part, the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council gave a detailed explanation to President Afwerki about the situation in Sudan, in light of the framework agreement and the political declaration that were signed last December, pointing to the importance of strengthening joint cooperation and coordination between the two countries in all fields to serve the interests of the peoples of the two countries. .
