The deputy of the Sovereignty Council holds a meeting by phone with three international envoys * Khartoum

    The Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, held a joint meeting by phone with the US Envoy for East Africa, Sudan, and South Sudan, Peter Lord, the UK Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan, Robert Fairweather, and the Norwegian Special Envoy for Sudan and South Sudan. John Anton.
    The meeting discussed the current political developments in Sudan, and the efforts exerted to complete the political process, form a civilian transitional government, and lead to a democratic transition by holding elections.
    The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council gave an explanation to the envoys about the situation in the country and the efforts of the parties to bring the political process to its conclusion, stressing their full commitment to what was signed in the framework agreement, and the need for the military institution to exit political work, stressing his keenness to enhance stability and work to support the process democratic transition in the country.
    For their part, the international envoys expressed their support for the framework agreement, which was signed on the fifth of last December, to get out of the crisis, as the basis for forming a future civilian government in the country.
