Museveni Receives Envoy of Rapid Support Forces in Kampala
Yesterday, His Excellency the Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni received in Kampala the political advisor, Youssef Azat, the envoy of the Rapid Support Forces Commander. He conveyed a verbal message from Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
During the meeting, they discussed the security and political developments in Sudan in light of the coup on April 15th by the military leadership and the defunct regime to seize power in the country, aiming to obstruct the path towards democratic transformation.
Advisor Youssef Azat provided a comprehensive explanation to President Museveni about the reasons behind the war ignited by the coup leaders to reinstate the defunct regime in power. He affirmed that the Rapid Support Forces stand by the Sudanese people in achieving their aspirations for security, stability, and democratic transition.
Azat pointed out that the meeting dispelled many misleading information through which the coup leaders attempted to deceive the local and international public opinion to cover up the coup.
