Sudan’s envoy to the Arab Summit: If the Rapid Support Forces give up their weapons, we will pardon them
Ambassador Dafa Allah Haj Ali Othman, the special envoy to the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, said that the Rapid Support Forces infiltrated residential neighborhoods, detained innocent civilians, and attacked the headquarters of diplomatic missions.
In his speech before the 32nd Arab Summit held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he added: There is no room for questioning the army’s ability to defeat the rebellion, stressing: “We are not advocates of war, but it was imposed on us,” and if the Rapid Support Forces give up their weapons, we will pardon them.
The rebel Rapid Support Forces committed crimes against humanity and did not abide by any humanitarian truces
We are concerned that the international community has turned a blind eye to the violations of the rebel movement
- We were able to quickly resolve the rebellion, but the Rapid Support Forces took the citizens as human shields
- There is no room for questioning the ability of the Sudanese army to resolve and end the rebellion
