Dagalo: “What Is Happening in Darfur Is Run by the Same Groups That Are Messing With the Scene in Khartoum”

Al-Geneina 26/06/2022 – The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, said that what is happening in Darfur is deliberate sabotage, not far from what is happening in Khartoum, and that much of what is happening here is run by the same rooms that tamper with the scene there, pursuing their narrow self-interests.

Dagalo added, during his address to the signing ceremony of the agreement to stop hostilities between the Rizeigat and Aranga tribes in Sirba locality, which is located forty kilometers north of the city of El Geneina yesterday evening, in the presence of members of the Sovereign Council, Dr. In the state, there is an outbreak of hate speech, racism, incitement to killing oneself, sedition and other manifestations of chaos, with parties aiming to undermine the peace that has been achieved, return Darfur to the square of war and dismantle the social fabric.

The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council affirmed the government’s keenness to stop the chaos and vandalism approved, and to put an end to the absurd conflicts between the tribal components, by imposing the prestige of the state and holding reconciliations to achieve stability and peaceful coexistence among the components of society.

Dagalo expressed his regret that these practices against the homeland and the citizen did not find the appropriate and timely deterrence from the state, which contributed to the extension of the circle of tribal conflict to include societies that remained tolerant and coexisted with each other, in whose pages history did not record any conflicts between them.

Dagalo called on all tribes to be a cohesive and tolerant society, facing war merchants and criminals without complacency or courtesy.

The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council renewed the government’s determination to resolve all negative phenomena, impose the prestige of the state and rule of law, assist in the voluntary return of the displaced, provide them with protection, and work with the government of West Darfur to provide the necessary services that support a decent life.

He called on the civil administration to play its full role in confronting the criminals and to prevent the development of disputes that lead to bloody conflicts, by immediately reporting every criminal and saboteur who seeks sedition among the people, calling on those who plan and make conspiracies to return to their senses, otherwise, the government will confront them, indicating that the country It is going through political, economic, social, and security plights and they will work to overcome them to preserve Sudan as one and united, despite the agents’ attempts and their continuous efforts to dismantle and destroy it.
