TSC President: RSF militia deserves to be classified as a terrorist group

New York 26-9-2024 President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Commander-in-Chief of the Armed  General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhasaid that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) Militia deserves to be classified as a terrorist group due to the crimes of ethnic cleansing, forced displacement and genocide it has committed, noting that it unfortunately finds support and assistance from countries in the region that provide them with money and mercenaries to achieve political and economic gains in blatant defiance of international law and will.
He added, in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly Thursday that Sudan is facing challenges and conspiracies as a result of a war launched by a group that rebelled against the state with local and regional political and logistical support.
He added, “You have followed the extent of the crimes, atrocities and violations committed by this rebel group against the Sudanese people and the entity of the Sudanese state,” indicating that this war began with an attempt to seize power by force of arms and quickly changed into a comprehensive war against the Sudanese people and their state.
TSC President explained that the crimes of this terrorist group even extended to the headquarters of diplomatic missions and organizations and their belongings, even the United Nations’ headquarters and belongings were attacked by the rebel RSF militia. Al-Burhan added that this terrorist group owned by the Al-Dagalo family has continued to defy international laws and obligations without caring about the consequences, pointing to its rejection of the decisions of the Jeddah Declaration, and the Security Council resolutions to ban the supply of weapons to Darfur, and their continuation of ethnic cleansing in Darfur, pointing out that the latest challenge to these decisions is clear in the non-compliance with the resolution on El-Fashir, the capital of North Darfur State.
