El-Sisi arrived Saturday at Khartoum’s international airport, on his way to meeting with Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, head of the Transitional Council, at the presidential palace.
The Egyptian president also met with both Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok, and Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, first deputy head of the council.
This visit was president El-Sisi’s first visit to the country since the ousting of former President Omar Al-Bashir in April of 2019.
