We welcome the joint statement of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America regarding the start of talks between Sudanese parties in Jeddah.

We commend the regional and international efforts made to achieve a ceasefire that facilitates the opening of humanitarian corridors that enable citizens to access basic services.

We remain committed to our firm and declared position on the necessity of reaching a civilian transitional government that establishes a sustainable democratic transformation that meets the aspirations of our people for security, stability, and development.
