Beware of Social Media Outlets Addiction

According to official statistics, there are more than 13 million Sudanese using internet services in the country and that means that all of them use smartphones.

The majority of those 31 million are existing permanently in social media outlets.

Social media is a double-edged sword as it is very useful and at the same time, it is very disastrous a matter that requires strict care and attention. Most of us are in need to reconsider our using of social media outlets otherwise we will be among the losers.

Social media outlets ability can attract attention 24 hours a day a matter that made most of the people captives to it and nobody is ready to leave the smartphone from his hand a moment to the extent that most of the people became addicted to it. This practice is one of the biggest threats to mental, physical behavioral, and moral health.

The misusing of social media outlets has reached the level that it has become a theatre for crimes, disasters, and misfortunes.

According to experts, the use of social media outlets might affect the general health due to staying long looking into the screens of the smartphones without moving besides following the fake news and rumors and resending it a matter that contributes in its widespread without responsibility feelings.

The permanent existence in social media outlets consumes a long time to the extent they cannot communicate with their friends and loved ones in person.

The concentration on the social media outlets makes the mind couscous to work continuously especially at night and this affects the cells of the mind which will suffer from the stress and fewer sleeping hours.

Specialized experts recommend balanced use of the social media outlets through reducing the periods of following the unimportant groups and pay more attention to realistic programs besides refraining from using the internet for some days.
