The Zionist War
Hatem Al-Ta’i
This is not merely an American war against Iran — it is the Zionist war against the last state opposing the Israeli occupation entity. It is the “last chance” war for Israel to dominate the region and control its nations, serving its colonial and bloody agenda, and reviving the idea of “Greater Israel.”
What is happening now in our region is an Israeli-American aggression, primarily instigated by war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu. President Donald Trump’s response comes within the context of American submission to the Zionist lobby that controls the White House. It cannot be said that igniting war in one of the world’s most vital and strategically important regions serves the interests of the United States — quite the contrary. This war serves the interests of the Israeli entity and achieves the goals of global Zionism. His Excellency Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi said it plainly when he urged the United States not to be dragged further into this war, stating clearly: “This is not your war.” Indeed, it is not America’s war and cannot be. America, which holds strategic interests in the region, is now being subjected to widespread attacks on its military bases across Gulf states and the broader region — meaning America has now become a direct threat to regional countries, rather than a protector as was previously believed. The White House today is executing the directives of global Zionism, threatening international peace and security, violating international law, infringing upon the sovereignty of nations, and attacking innocent civilians. Nothing illustrates this more clearly than the horrific massacre that resulted from the brutal American-Israeli bombardment of a girls’ school in southern Iran, which killed 85 students and left more than 92 injured.
These crimes are an inseparable part of Zionist crimes committed across various countries of the region for decades, up to and including the genocide in Gaza, and the ongoing crimes in the Strip, the West Bank, and occupied Jerusalem. These crimes confirm that this malignant, cancerous entity will not hesitate to commit atrocities to achieve all of its despicable colonial goals, and will not refrain from targeting cities and killing innocent civilians in pursuit of that objective.
Developments over the past hours — up to the time of writing — confirm that Iran will not abandon the protection of its national security, and that it will continue to respond to the savage American and Israeli aggressions. It is unfortunate, without doubt, that a number of regional countries represent valuable targets within the framework of Iran’s right to self-defense and its right to respond to the aggressor. Iran began, from the very first hour of the American-Israeli aggression, striking U.S. military bases across the region — most notably the headquarters of the Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, the largest American military air base at Al-Udeid in Qatar, as well as Al-Dhafra base in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, in addition to bases in Jordan. No one can predict the scope of the Iranian response if Israeli and American strikes on Iran continue to escalate.
Against the backdrop of war and the sounds of cannons, the voice of Omani wisdom emerges — in the form of a highly significant statement by His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, accompanied by two related statements from the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These statements stem from Oman’s approach of positive neutrality diplomacy and are grounded in the firm constants deeply rooted in Oman’s foreign policy. His Excellency expressed his disappointment and condemnation of the military operations against Iran, at a time when negotiations were on the verge of concluding a fair and balanced agreement that would have guaranteed the preservation of regional security and stability. His Excellency Badr clarified the true picture for the American public during his interview with CBS News, when he stated that “a deal was within reach,” and that “Iran had agreed to give up its enriched materials and there would be no stockpiling.”
Yet it appears that Zionism realized that Iran was indeed close to reaching this agreement, and so it made its preemptive decision to abort peace and set the entire region ablaze. Meanwhile, the two statements issued by the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs carry a clear condemnation of the aggression against Iran. The Sultanate of Oman warned against the consequences of ongoing military developments and escalation, cautioning against the danger of the conflict expanding into unpredictable and dire outcomes across the region. Oman also considered these acts of aggression to be “actions incompatible with the rules of international law.” Reaffirming Oman’s belief in diplomatic solutions, it called upon the United Nations Security Council to hold “an urgent meeting to impose a ceasefire and for the international community to take a clear stance in support of international law.” This is the steadfast Omani diplomacy we all know — the voice of reason and peace.
In conclusion: the United States, by submitting to Zionist pressures, has committed a grave mistake and fallen into a trap from which no one knows how it will escape. However, the optimal and only solution is to immediately halt the aggression against Iran, return to nuclear negotiations, and conclude the sought-after agreement — one that supports regional security and stability, curbs Zionist aggression, and brings the leaders of the Israeli occupation entity to trial for all their crimes in Gaza, the region, and indeed the entire world.
