Dagalo, Hajar, and Al-Hadi Oversee Signing of Agreement to Stop Hostilities Between the Aranga and Rizeigat Tribes

Sirba-El-Ginya – The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, in the presence of council members Dr. Al-Hadi Idris and Professor Al-Tahir Hajar, Governor of West Darfur, Khamis Abdullah Abkar, honored the signing ceremony of the reconciliation document between the Rizeigat and Aranga tribes, in Sirba locality, north of El Geneina city, in the presence of a large public, in the evening Yesterday, the Wali of West Darfur State, and the Sultan of all Dar Masalit tribes.

The signing was witnessed by a large number of tribes and local components.

The leaders of the two tribes expressed their regret over the conflicts and disputes that took place between them, noting that this was from Satan’s deception and that by signing this document, a dark and irreversible page of the bleak past would have been turned.

The two parties affirmed that they will become one family and that all rights will return to their owners, as they work as one against any saboteur for a safe and stable life, and social relations between the two tribes and other tribes will return to what they were before, but rather better.

The two sides expressed their thanks and gratitude to the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, for his interest and keenness to conduct reconciliations and improve the social fabric between all the sons and tribes of Sudan, especially the Aranga and Rizeigat tribes. 

They also affirmed their support for the regular forces and their assistance in maintaining security and stability in West Darfur State.
