    في سياق التداخل الجغرافي والقبلي المعقّد بين السودان وتشاد، لا يمكن فهم التحولات الأمنية المتسارعة بمعزل عن التاريخ الطويل للحدود المفتوحة والهويات المتشابكة. فالحدود الغربية للسودان، الممتدة مع تشاد، لم تكن يومًا مجرد خطوط سياسية، بل فضاءً اجتماعيًا حيًا تتحرك فيه القبائل والمصالح والولاءات. غير أن هذا الفضاء، الذي كان في أوقات كثيرة جسر تواصل، تحوّل خلال السنوات الأخيرة إلى مسرح لعبور السلاح والمرتزقة، في ظل ضعف الدولة وتآكل منظومات الضبط والرقابة.
