
Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Arrives in Doha
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, arrived today in the Qatari capital, Doha. He was received at the Amiri Diwan by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
His Highness the Emir of Qatar held an official reception for the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council at the Amiri Diwan in Doha, in honor of his visit to the State of Qatar.
This warm reception reflects the high regard in which Sudan is held by the Qatari people and government.
It also reflects the sincere fraternal relations between Lieutenant General Al-Burhan and his brother, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and demonstrates their close coordination on regional and international issues.
The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council is accompanied on his visit by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohi El-Din Salem, the Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, and the Governor of the Bank of Sudan, Dr. Amina Mirghani, Director of the General Intelligence Service, Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, and Major General Adel Sabdarat, Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, were among the delegation members. The Sudanese Ambassador to Qatar, Ambassador Badr Al-Din Abdullah, also joined the delegation.
