Speech of His Excellency, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan Abdurrahman, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah who has completed for us the blessed month of Ramadan.

Dear noble Sudanese people,

Every year, you and your army are in good health. Every year, you are more united, cohesive, and powerful. Every year, your support and backing for the armed forces grow stronger and greater. We ask Allah, the Most Generous, to accept the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity and the martyrs of our homeland, who sacrificed themselves to make the nation. We will continue our journey to defend it.

Greetings to you, sons and daughters of our homeland, as you organize yourselves in the ranks of the popular resistance everywhere to defeat this aggression and to purify the land of Sudan from mercenaries and traitors. I affirm to you, people of Sudan, that we are determined and united on the path of martyrs until every rebel and traitor is expelled from our land and every spot tainted by rebellion is cleansed. The Battle of Dignity will lay the foundation for what comes after April 15, 2023. I say it loudly: There is no going back to what was before April 15, 2023, or before October 25, 2022, or before April 2019.

Dear noble Sudanese people,

We will continue the conversation, God willing, after the victory in the Battle of Dignity, a victory that draws nearer every day thanks to the unity and cohesion of the people with their armed forces.
