Hostages Freed from Rapid Support Forces Detention Facilities

Following the success of the Sudanese army in retaking most of the territories previously controlled by the Rapid Support Forces militia, a large-scale rescue operation was conducted, resulting in the liberation of hundreds of hostages, including children. All of the rescued hostages were found to be in poor health.

Some eyewitnesses among the hostages reported that they were subjected to continuous torture, deprivation of food, water, and medical treatment. In many cases, they were denied access to water, leading to the death of dozens of detainees.
