The government delegation to the peace negotiations headed by a member of the Transitional Sovereign Council, Lieutenant General Shamsuddin Kabashi, and the delegation of the Popular Movement North led by Abdulaziz Al-Helu, headed by the Movement’s chief negotiator Ammar Amoun, resumed their negotiations by holding a procedural session via video technology, a conference in the two peace hotels Rotana in Khartoum and Crown in Juba, with the participation of the vice-president Southern Mediation Mechanism Minister Nial Deng Niyal for the first time after he was recently appointed Deputy Chairman of the Mediation Mechanism.
The two parties will continue their negotiations tomorrow, Thursday, the 25th of June.

The government delegation to the peace negotiations had received yesterday an official invitation from the mediation of the state of the south to hold a dialogue session via video conference technology with the popular movement north led by Abdel Aziz Al Helou.

It is noteworthy that the two parties signed a declaration of principles and a roadmap governing the negotiation process, in the capital of the South Sudan country sponsoring the Sudanese peace talks, last October in preparation for entering into the core issues.
