First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council meets the Qatari envoy to attend the Southern Mediation

The First Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Lieutenant General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo met today in Juba, the Special Envoy of the Qatari government, Mr. Mutlaq Al-Qahtani, who arrived today in the capital of the Republic of South Sudan, in the presence of Mr. Tut Qalwak, Adviser to President Salva Kiir Mayardt for Security Affairs and Chairman of the Southern Mediation Committee.

The meeting dealt with the progress of the peace negotiations process between the Sudanese government and the armed struggle movements. The meeting also touched on the Doha Agreement for Peace in Darfur.
