The First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo , met at his residence in Juba, the French envoy who was representing his country at the peace signing ceremonies.
The French envoy conveyed to the first deputy his country’s congratulations for signing the agreement.
The meeting also discussed the implementation mechanisms of the peace agreement.
The First Vice President called on France to redouble its efforts to support peace in Sudan and the State of South Sudan for the sake of regional stability.
For his part, the French envoy praised the efforts of the First Vice President in achieving peace in Sudan and South Sudan, and indicated that his country will work with the international community to support the implementation of the peace agreement in Sudan, as well as continuing the program to support poor families in Sudan for the next two years.
The meeting touched on the file of the movements that were not signed and how they could be attached to the peace process
