Khartoum 21/09/2021 — The Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, saluted the officers and soldiers of the Armored Corps in the Al-Shajara region for their solid stance, their control of the situation, and the wise containment of an attempt to overthrow the transitional government. Which, in his opinion, spared the country much bloodshed.
When addressing the officers and soldiers of the Armored Corps in the Shagara area today, in the presence of Lieutenant-General Muhammad Hamdan Dagalo, First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lieutenant-General Muhammad Othman Al-Hussein and Commander of the Armored Corps, he affirmed the unity and alignment of the regular forces with the people to protect the transitional period and the democratic transformation In the country, noting that all units of the armed forces are united behind this goal.
Calling on the political forces in the country for unity and cohesion through the initiatives put forward for building Sudan, pointing out that the process of building the country and protecting its security and stability is a joint responsibility between the military and civilians and the Sudanese people behind them.
Addressing the officers and soldiers in the Shijarah area, Al-Burhan said, “You are the guardians of the democratic transition in the country, until the power is handed over to the national forces elected by the people.”
Al-Burhan said that he is following up on the conditions of members of the armed forces and the conditions they are going through, noting that great efforts are being made to improve their economic conditions.
