Sovereign Council Member, Lt-Gen Ibrahim Jaber, meets the Turkish Ambassador in Khartoum

Khartoum 13-1-2022AD — Lieutenant-General, a naval engineer, advisor to Ibrahim Jaber, praised Turkey’s supportive stances for Sudan and its keenness to develop and promote bilateral relations between the two countries.

During his meeting in his office at the Republican Palace today, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Khartoum, Mr. Irfan Nazir Oglu, expressed Sudan’s thanks and appreciation for the Corona vaccine grant that Ankara provided to Khartoum.

For his part, Ambassador Irfan Oglu, member of the Sovereignty Council, was briefed on the results of the Turkish-African Summit held in Istanbul, and its effective impact on improving political, economic, social, and cultural relations between Turkey and African countries.

The Turkish ambassador indicated that his country pledged to provide more than 15 million doses of the Corona vaccine to African countries, including one million doses allocated to Sudan, which will arrive within the next few days.
