
Dagalo Chairs Meeting of the Implementation Committee of the Peace Agreement of the Republic of South Sudan

Khartoum – 29/03/2022 — Today in Khartoum, a meeting of the Follow-up Committee for the Implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement of the Republic of South Sudan was held in Khartoum, headed by Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, in the presence of the designated Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Yassin Ibrahim, and the delegation of the Republic of South Sudan, headed by Adviser to the President of the Republic of South Sudan, Tut Galwak, and Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers Martin Elia and Foreign Minister Mayiik Ayii Deng.
The meeting discussed the proposal of the Government of Southern Sudan regarding security arrangements and structuring of the forces.
The meeting concluded with promising proposals and solutions that are expected to be presented to the rest of the other parties. The matter is to resolve the file once and for all.
