Tut Galwak: We Delivered (to Dagalo) a Response to the Proposal to Integrate the Forces of the Peace Parties in South Sudan

Khartoum – 27/03/2022 — Adviser to the President of South Sudan for Security Affairs, Tut Galwak, announced that he had delivered a written response from his country to Sudan, which was pushed by the mechanism for implementing the South Sudan Peace Agreement headed by Lieutenant-General Dagalo, regarding the integration of the high military command in the south and the graduation of forces, to the Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Abdul Al-Fattah Al-Burhan and his first deputy, Lieutenant General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.

After his meeting with the Vice-President of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, in his office today, Gulwak said that he had carried a letter from the President of South Sudan, Lieutenant-General Salva Kiir Mayardit, to the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, regarding a response to the proposal to integrate the supreme military forces in South Sudan in implementation of the peace agreement. , referring to his country’s government that has allocated sites for military forces to the parties to the peace and handed them over to the government of Sudan, which is a guarantor of the agreement.

He explained that after meeting the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council and briefing him on the progress of implementation of the agreement, we agreed to hold a meeting in Khartoum with the technical committee, and then go to Juba to hold a meeting that includes all parties to the peace agreement of South Sudan to end the file.

Tut stressed that Sudan is a guarantor and observer of the South Sudan Peace Agreement and its implementation, in addition to being the head of the IGAD, and that the Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council personally supervises the implementation of the peace agreement, and made several visits to Juba related to the matter. peace and a symbol of the peace of the two states.
