Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. General Engineer Ibrahim Gabir , Meets the Russian Ambassador to Sudan

Today, Member of the Sovereignty Council, Lt. General Engineer Ibrahim Gabir, Assistant to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met with Mr. Andrey Tsyganov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Sudan, at his office.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between Sudan and Russia in all fields, as well as following up on the results of the recent visit of the Russian Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, to Sudan.
Lt. Gen. Gabir emphasized the importance of strengthening relations and expanding the scope of cooperation between the two countries.
On his part, Ambassador Abdul Raouf Amer, Director of the Peace and Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in a press release that the meeting underscored the importance of enhancing relations and advancing them in all areas, as well as developing prospects for mutual cooperation with Sudan. He added that the meeting discussed areas of cooperation and coordination of positions between Sudan and the Russian Federation in international forums, especially the United Nations.
