Al-Geneina 07/23/2022 — The Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, arrived in Al-Geneina, the capital of West Darfur State today, within the framework of completing the tribal reconciliations, establishing security, imposing the prestige of the state, returning the displaced voluntarily, and working to restore normal life and restore the fabric. The social interaction between the components of the state, as well as follow-up procedures and decisions related to the establishment of the prestige of the state and the implementation of the rule of law, and the enforcement of the peace agreements that have been brought down to the ground.
His Excellency was accompanied on this visit by Professor Al-Taher Abu Bakr Hajar, member of the Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Khaled Abdeen Al-Shami, Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Lieutenant-General Ahmed Ibrahim, the police representative, Major General Abu Ubaida Mirghani, the representative of the General Intelligence Service, and representatives of the armed struggle movements.
He was received at Martyr Sabira Airport in Al-Geneina, the governor of West Darfur state, Khamis Abdullah Abkar, the state’s security committee, and the state’s political, social, and cultural activities.
It is noteworthy that the Vice-President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, issued a statement yesterday explaining the reasons for his stay in the states of Darfur in the previous period and the destruction of the region as a result of the conflicts and disputes between its components, the spread of poverty, poor services, the absence of the state and the marginalization that required it, over the years. In the past, stressed that great efforts have been made in this regard, and the results have shown promising.
Dagalo affirmed that he will return to the region today with his comrades to continue the work they have embarked on so that every inch of the country enjoys security and stability, and the rhetoric of racism and hatred will end once and for all. Enjoy diversity and versatility.
