– Federal Government Minister Eng. Mohamed Kurtikaila Saleh has stressed the importance of media role in addressing national and state issues.

This came when the minister met today in his office acting Director General of the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Dr. Fikriya Abayazid.

The Minister of Federal Government affirmed his keenness on developing and promoting the media in the states to reflect all economic, social and political activities and the performance of state governments.

He lauded SUNA’s role and its outstanding performance, and said that it plays an essential and visible role in the media as it conveys all the news of the states.

The minister affirmed concern with issues of peace, security, stability and boosting of the social fabric and everything that achieves sustainable development in the states.

For her part, the Director General of SUNA explained that the news agency has integrated news service platforms in three languages, and that states news is a priority for the agency’s work through its state offices.
