Floral offering on the occasion of the 67th Anniversary of the Independence Day of the Republic of Sudan

In Caracas city, at the National Pantheon Monumental Complex, the Floral Offering Ceremony was held before the sarcophagus with the mortal remains of the Liberator Simón Bolívar.

This activity was led by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan, Mustafa Abuali Ahmed Mohammed, and by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs for Africa, Yuri Pimentel Moura, representing the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, accompanied by the Venezuelan Ambassador resident in Sudan, Deiby Colmenares Boullon, the Diplomatic Corps accredited in the country and special guests.

On January 1, 1956, Sudan gained independence from the United Kingdom. Transcendent historical fact for the Sudanese people.

Venezuela and Sudan established diplomatic relations in 2005, with the mutual desire to initiate and develop ties of friendship and cooperation in politics, economics, culture, and technology.
