Mani Arko Manawi Visits Juba to Discuss Peace Efforts

Today, Mani Arko Manawi, the head of the political office of the Forces for Freedom and Change Democratic Bloc, arrived in Juba, the capital of South Sudan. During his stay, he is set to engage in various meetings with officials of South Sudan, including a meeting with President Salva Kiir Mayardit.

These discussions aim to explore avenues for ending the ongoing war in Sudan. Upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, Manawi was received by Tott Qalwak, an advisor to the President of South Sudan, along with several other officials.

In a press statement, Manawi expressed, “We arrived today in the Republic of South Sudan as part of a delegation from the Democratic Bloc to hold meetings and discussions with regional powers, continuing our efforts to find solutions to end the crisis of war in the country. We will intensify efforts with political and civil forces interested in addressing Sudan’s humanitarian and political issues, urging the international and regional community to play their roles in stopping the war and its tragic consequences.”
