Vice president of the Transitional Sovereignty Council Arrives in Rwanda

This morning, Deputy Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Akar Air, arrived in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, for an official visit lasting several days.

He was welcomed at Kigali International Airport by Mr. James Kabarebe, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and the Sudanese embassy staff in Rwanda.

The visit will address the course of bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, along with issues of mutual interest.

During the visit, the Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council will hold meetings with Rwandan President Paul Kagame and some state officials to discuss the current developments in Sudan.

He will also meet with ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Arab world, as well as representatives of the Sudanese community in Rwanda.

Accompanying the Deputy Head of the Council during the visit is the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Hussein Awad Ali Mohamed.
