Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Offers Condolences for the Martyrs of the Battle of Dignity in Shendi Deployment

Al-Matammah, May 21, 2024

Today, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, extended his condolences to the family of the martyred First Lieutenant (res.) Mohammed Sadiq in the Al-Bawalid area of Al-Matammah locality. First Lieutenant Sadiq was martyred in the Battle of Dignity, sacrificing his life in defense of the nation.

Lieutenant Mohammed Sadiq was among the first officers to heed the call of duty, joining the national struggle against the rebels. He embodied the spirit of sacrifice, valor, and steadfastness for the honor and dignity of the homeland.

Additionally, General al-Burhan visited the families of other martyrs, including Police Major Naeem Mohammed Abdulrahman and Major Abdullah Atar.

He was captured and treacherously executed by the Rapid Support Forces militia, in a blatant violation of Sudanese traditions and international humanitarian law, which guarantees the rights of war prisoners.

He also visited the positions of armed struggle movements fighting alongside the armed forces on the front lines, paying tribute to their fallen soldiers who were martyred in the Battle of Dignity in the Shendi deployment, recognizing their significant sacrifices for the security and stability of Sudan.
