
Chinese Foreign Minister congratulates newly appointed Foreign Minister
Portsudan, November 8
Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dr. Ali Yousuf Ahmed Al-Sharif, has received a congratulatory message from the member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Wang Yi, on the occasion of his appointment to his new position.
In his message, the senior Chinese official expressed his sincere congratulations and good wishes to the Minister.
He said that a deep historical friendship links the two countries and that their relations have continued to develop positively over 65 years.
Mr. Yi referred to the meeting that brought together President of the Sovereignty Council (TSC), His Excellency General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, with Chinese President, His Excellency Xi Jinping, on the sidelines of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum summit in Beijing last September, which set strategic directions for developing relations between the two friendly countries.
The Minister affirmed his readiness to work with his Sudanese counterpart to put these important agreements into effect and intensify communication and coordination between the foreign ministries of the two countries to develop the strategic partnership between them in a stable and sustainable manner.
