The Vice President of the Sovereignty Council Meets with Zaghawa Tribe Advisory Council

Vice President of the Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Air, praised the significant role played by the native administration in mending the social fabric, eliminating tribal and regional conflicts, and striving to establish peace and societal security.

During his meeting today with the delegation of the Zaghawa Tribe Advisory Council, led by Engineer Saleh Abdullah Ahmed Bahr, he emphasized the importance of national unity, acceptance of others, peaceful coexistence, and elevating the nation’s stature. He affirmed the state’s interest in the city of El Fasher due to its importance and historical significance.

Mohammed Adam Ahmed, the Secretary-General of the Zaghawa Tribe Advisory Council, stated in a press release that the delegation presented a detailed report to the Vice President   about the efforts made by the council since the onset of the current crisis, particularly in providing humanitarian aid such as medicine and food. He pointed out that the Vice President   pledged to overcome all obstacles and challenges hindering the delivery of humanitarian assistance to citizens.

He also confirmed the council’s support for the armed forces and the readiness of the popular resistance to defend the nation until the defeat of the rebellious terrorist militia.
