A Call to Save the Homeland: For Al-Jazira
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate
This is an urgent plea and a cry for help addressed to all local, regional, and international organizations, as well as to all the free people of the world. In the name of all the killed, wounded, displaced, and those whose rights have been violated and whose properties have been looted across every inch of our beloved country, we raise this call on behalf of all the people of Sudan, particularly the defenseless citizens of Al-Jazira State, and especially our people in East Al-Jazira.
The world continues to witness and hear of the heinous crimes committed by the criminal militias of the Al-Dagalo clan, along with wandering Arab tribes and African mercenaries. These atrocities occur openly and are documented on various social media platforms, yet the world’s organizations remain silent, paralyzed from even issuing the simplest statements of condemnation or protest against these acts of war crimes and collective extermination. Despite the clear documentation, no action has been taken, and no human conscience has stirred.
The Call to Save the Homeland: For Al-Jazira sends a loud and urgent message to all local, regional, and international organizations, urging them to fulfill their duty of protecting the unarmed civilians of Sudan, a duty explicitly outlined in all international treaties that call for the protection of civilians in conflict and war zones.
In the face of this baffling and troubling silence from global organizations and free nations, the Call to Save the Homeland: For Al-Jazira implores these international and regional bodies responsible for human rights to take up their role and responsibilities. They must address the violations being perpetrated against the people of Al-Jazira, particularly in East Al-Jazira, where citizens are being killed, tortured, displaced, and forced to flee by the criminal Al-Dagalo militia. This militia, in complete contradiction to its false claims of protecting civilians and promoting democracy, instead uses violence, heavy weaponry, and torture as tools of suppression.
We, in the Call to Save the Homeland: For Al-Jazira, are striving to make our voices heard by all rational and free individuals around the world. We call for the protection of civilians from the horrendous suffering they endure, and for the swift issuance of resolutions to safeguard them. We also demand that the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) be classified as a terrorist organization, subject to international sanctions. We ask that the leaders of this militia be sanctioned, their movements restricted, and their financial assets frozen, to limit their ability to carry out further atrocities.
We hope these organizations will take the necessary steps to restore peace and security across Sudan.
This appeal is directed to:
- The United Nations Security Council
- The African Union
- Friendly nations
- The European Union
- The International Criminal Court
- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation
- The Non-Aligned Movement
- The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD)
- The African-American Group
May Allah protect our country, grant safety to its people, and give victory to our Sudanese Armed Forces. May the eyes of cowards never find peace.
Dr. Ali Al-Sharif Omar Al-Sharif Al-Hindi
President, Call to Save the Homeland: For Al-Jazira
