To Chatham House Management

I would like to express our deep dismay at your decision to host Mr. Abdullah Hamdok, under the supervision of Ambassador Rosalind Marsden.

London has witnessed a large gathering of Sudanese patrriot in the diaspora from across Europe, where they send strong message of opposession to Hamdok political role in Sudan, chant like “How much did they pay you to sell Sudanese blood?”

This objection comes in the context of many of us believing that he is one of the causes of the war in the country, because of his support for the Rapid Support Militia and trying to market them politically.

Chatham House, since the idea of its founding in 1919 under the ashes and ruins of World War I, has had a clear message of helping governments and societies build a safe, prosperous and sustainablely just world. But at this historic moment, we find that you are facing the living human conscience and against the aspirations of the Sudanese people who seek peace, security and stability.

I appeal to you as an institution with a great heritage and historical responsibility
to reconsider your choices and to take your role in supporting just causes. The continuation of this absurdity and nonsense may lead to the loss of your credibility and professionalism that spans more than 100 years.

We hope that you will take this message into account and take the necessary steps to correct the course.

With sincere greetings,
Sudanese citizen: Tarig Hamza Zain El Abdien
