Sudanese Armed Forces Reclaim the Republican Palace in a Historic Victory
The Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in Nairobi proudly congratulates the Sudanese people and their valiant Armed Forces on reclaiming the Republican Palace, a historic and enduring symbol of Sudan’s sovereignty and national dignity.
This decisive victory marks a turning point in the Sudanese Armed Forces steady and determined advance across multiple battlefronts, as the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia continues to disintegrate under the weight of successive deleats. The militia’s collapse is accelerating, with its fighters deserting. its ranks crumbling, and its supply lines severed. Following the Armed Forces successful liberation of Al-Jazira, Sennar, White Nile, Blue Nile and North Kordofan states, and with significant advances in the capital Khartoum, the complete defeat of the genocidal militia is within reach.
The international community and leading regional and international organizations have extensively documented and condemned the RSF militia’s heinous crimes, including ethnic cleansing, mass atrocities against civilians, systematic sexual violence, destruction of vital infrastructure, and flagrant violations of international humanitarian law. These documented atrocities have further isolated the militia on the global stage and reinforced the international community’s rejection of its illegitimate actions.
Furthermore, the RSF militia’s signing of a charter to establish a parallel governing authority in Sudan has been widely rejected as a desperate and illegitimate attempt to undermine Sudan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. No international or regional actor has recognized this unlawful attempt, reaffirming the global consensus that Sudan’s legitimate government remains the sole representative of the Sudanese people. The militia’s failure to gain legitimacy underscores its status as an illegitimate entity whose reign of terror is nearing its end.
The Embassy commends the unwavering courage and sacrifices of the Sudanese Armed Forces in defending the nation’s institutions, safeguarding its territorial integrity, and protecting its people. It further expresses full confidence in the resilience and determination of the government of Sudan and the Sudanese people to rebuild and restore critical infrastructure and public services, including hospitals, schools, and key state institutions, which have suffered cxtensive damage at the hands of this outlawed genocidal militia.
