Sudan: Media professionals in Northern State support the Armed Forces and condemn Rapid Support Forces violations
Northern State — Ali Turkman
Sudan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Al-Harith Idris, announced at a United Nations Security Council session that the Rapid Support Forces militia is attempting to turn Darfur and Kordofan into a new Tora Bora, noting that North Darfur has become a symbol of humanitarian tragedy and organized crime at the hands of these militias and those who fund and equip them with money, ammunition, mercenaries and political, diplomatic and media backing — supported by documentation — naming the regional patron as the United Arab Emirates. The delegate added that the militias are committing killing, extermination and ethnic cleansing, slaughtering thousands of unarmed civilians, burning markets and homes, and looting medical and educational institutions. According to the World Health Organization, more than 500 patients were killed at the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, while ordinary civilians were killed or targeted by rockets, drones, and chemical weapons. The delegate affirmed that these militias have no national, political, or constitutional legitimacy, and that their ideology is founded on racial supremacy and systematic violations of international humanitarian law.

We affirm that every inch there is the homeland. Be patient, El Fasher — the morning is near.
