What is the nature and reason for the Kreinik city conflict in Darfur? Who most hold accountable for the killing of Sudanese? Who steal the public resources, and wealth of Sudanese? Is it a tribal war/ethnic groups issues? Why do the Janjaweed commit crimes against humanity, under the surveillance of the central and regional governments?  Why there is a peace agreement, meanwhile, there is no peace and security?

However, murdering, massacre, bloodshed genocide and burning of the residential areas became an everyday language in Darfur province, every sunrise, there are killing incidents, kidnapping, rapping, and stealing of cattle, and goats occur in different parts of Darfur regions.

Generally, a new wave of violence erupted after gunmen from an Arab tribe attacked villages inhabited by the non-Arab Masalit tribe, in retaliation for the killing of two members of the tribe, according to the General Coordination of Refugees and Displaced people in Darfur.

Since then, West Darfur State has witnessed, over the past few days, bloody fighting between Arab and non-Arab tribes, largely concentrated in the locality of Kreinik, an area inhabited by about 500,000 people, most of whom belong to the Masalit tribe, about 80 km from the city of El Geneina, the state capital.

Nonetheless, these attacks against the locality were identified as “a crime against humanity and a crime against morals and even religion.

Kreinik has been completely shattered by militias, as well as the militant’s Rapid Support Forces, and underpinned by the central government, including the head of the locality. And the joint government forces were in charge of securing the area but they have withdrawn after the militia launched the attack without any justification and left citizens in a defenseless position.

However, this Janjaweed militia and Rapid Support Forces arose in Darfur, and they are famous for suppression and aggression against the non-Arab tribes. Now, the Darfur region is completely in the economic marginalization by the all central government.

The International Criminal Court has brought charges of genocide in Darfur against former President Omar al-Bashir, who was ousted by a popular uprising in April 2019. The conflict that erupted in Darfur in 2003 killed nearly 300,000 people and displaced 2.5 million from their villages, according to the United Nations.

Furthermore, Dozens have been killed in Darfur since the military coup of the commander, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan,  on October 25. and the resulting security vacuum, especially after the end of the mission of the UN peacekeeping force in the region following the signing of a peace agreement between the Revolutionary Front and the central government in 2020.

However, the Sudanese uprising which got rid of the 30-year dictatorship the Omar al-Bashir in 2019, and since the coup of Al-Burhan, Sudan is witnessing a political and economic crisis. In addition, According to the United Nations, 20 million out of a total of 45 million Sudanese are suffering from food insecurity. And 3.3 million people are displayed and now, they are residing in a refugee camp in the Darfur region.

In conclusion, what is going on in Sudan is unacceptable internationally and domestically. So, citizens must work tirelessly to resolve such pugnacious tribal conflicts through civil organizations, because there is no government in the country just a coup. In concentrating on making peace and security for the civilians as possible as we can.
