Press Statement

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirms the commitment of the Government of Sudan and all its organs to upholding the rule of law and the principles of international humanitarian law, and to maintaining zero tolerance for any violations of these principles, acts of aggression against innocent civilians, or instances of taking the law into one’s own hands.

In this regard, the Ministry would like to emphasize that the isolated incident of assault on citizens in the Kombo Tayba area of Al-Gazirah State, following the liberation of Wad Madani city, which resulted in the deaths of a number of villagers, will be subject to thorough investigation, and those responsible will face fair justice. Strict high-level directives have been issued to security and law enforcement agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure that such incidents are not repeated and to decisively address any early signs of such behavior, eliminating them at their source.
