Prime Minister Dr. Abdalla Hamdouk received in his office Monday a visiting delegation of the the East Africa Development and Trade Bank headed by the Director of the Bank, Admasu Tadesse.
The Prime Minister has welcomed the delegation, appreciating the continuous cooperation between the bank and Sudan government.
The meeting discussed the various fields for future cooperation between the Bank for Development and Trade in East Africa and the Sudanese government for supporting the Sudanese economy.
Said future cooperation includes projects related to the rehabilitation of Gezira Scheme, the establishment of financing portfolios to finance projects of oil industry, oil pipelines, grain silos, as well as projects relating to Khartoum Airport.
On his part, Tadesse praised Sudan’s openness to the global economy and the positive developments related to the economic policy, adding that the bank is working with the Ministry of Minerals to sign a memorandum of understanding for joint work in the field of minerals in addition to the bank’s support for the investment and trade in the country.
