First Vice President (FVP) of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has affirmed the importance of coordination and cooperation with the USA in all aspects.
Daglo received in his office the Special Envoy of the US President Joe Biden for the Horm of Africa, Jeffrey Feltman , and discussed with him the course of the bilateral relations and means of its development, lauding the keenness of the US Administration to make the transitional period a success.
The FVP expressed welcoming to assigning the top UN official to the Horn of Africa, affirming cooperation to make his mission a success, pointing out that the continuous contacts between the leaders of the two countries will lead to resolving all the outstanding issues.
Daglo also pointed out to the borders tensions with Ethiopia, affirming no retract from the internationally recognized borders, stressing on the importance of peaceful solution to the issue.
On GERD, Daglo reiterated Sudan’s stance regarding the necessity to reach an agreement among the concerned parties.
For his part, the US Envoy for the Horn of Africa Jeffrey Feltman affirmed the importance of Sudan and the Horn of Africa to the USA, pointing out to the importance of coordination and cooperation to make his mission a success, describing the Sudanese/US relations as deep-rooted.
