Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Minerals signed 9 new agreements to explore gold and other minerals with 8 foreign and local companies.

The Director-General of the General Authority for Geological Research, Muhammad Saeed Zain al-Abidin, pledged in a press conference at the Ministry of Minerals to overcome all obstacles and difficulties facing new companies during the discovery period.

He pointed out that the authority was subjected to a violent shock during the last period, but he said that it will remain a leading research institution in providing services and consultancy with high professionalism to support the national economy.

He acknowledged that the biggest challenge facing the authority is to increase gold production, adding that they are now working to increase production than it was in the past, especially in Jabal Amer, which he said will witness its new birth next week.
