Sudan pushes cooperation among conflicting parties in Ethiopia’s Tigray

Sudan on Sunday, July 4, advised all fighting parties in Ethiopia’s Tigray Region to end the fighting and sit at the discussion table.

Sudan’s Sovereign Council stated in a report that a high-level gathering held in Sudan’s capital Khartoum voiced profound worry that the improvements in Ethiopia may guide to a negative effect on the regional steadiness, mainly the adjoining nations.

The report also stated that the future of Ethiopia is firm by Ethiopians and “judging by neighboring relations and interests, Sudan will spare no effort to work with all the parties in Ethiopia to reach a consensus that enhances the unity of Ethiopia”.

Fighting outburst in early November of 2020 in Ethiopia’s northernmost Tigray Region between the Tigray People’s Liberation Front, this used to rule the regional state and the Ethiopian National Defense Forces.
