The Minister of Foreign Affairs holds bilateral talks with her Russian counterpart

The joint talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maryam Al-Sadiq Al-Mahdi, and her Russian counterpart, Mr. Sergey Lavrov, were held today, Monday, July 12, 2021 AD, in Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation.
The two sides stressed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the two ministers discussed ways to develop relations in various fields and activate bilateral work mechanisms represented in the Sudanese-Russian Ministerial Committee for Economic and Trade Cooperation and the Political Consultation Committee. The two ministers stressed the need to develop cooperation in the cultural field, training, and capacity-raising.
The two sides also exchanged views on several regional and international issues, in addition to joint coordination within the framework of international organizations. At the end of the meeting, the Minister invited her Russian counterpart to visit Sudan.
