
The Central Committee is investigating the facts of the “Kolgi” events

The Commission of Inquiry on the events of the Koolgi area in North Darfur recorded a visit to the area to identify the roots of the problem and its causes and to develop solutions to it.
During the past few days, the area witnessed fierce battles, which claimed the lives of 6 people and injured 21 people, as a result of armed clashes between the joint forces of the security forces in Darfur and gunmen in the Kolgi area of North Darfur state.

The head of the fact-finding committee, a member of the Sovereign Council, Professor Mohamed Hassan Al-Taishi, confirmed that the committee was formed under the directives of the First Deputy Chairman of the Sovereign Council, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
For his part, a member of the Fact-Finding Committee, Lieutenant-General Abdel Rahim Hamdan Dagalo, the second commander of the Rapid Support Forces, described what happened in the Koulaki area as unfortunate events, stressing that the committee’s tasks are to investigate the facts about the recent events.
