Khartoum 4-1-2022 — Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, stressed the need to continue dialogue between all parties to come up with a national consensus program to manage the transitional period, stressing that the doors of dialogue will remain open with all political forces and youth of the revolution in order to agree on completing the structures of the transitional period. Walking the path of democratic transformation, leading to free and fair elections that will bring an elected civilian government that meets the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
When meeting in his office today, Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy in Khartoum, Mr. Brian Shawkan, His Excellency reiterated Sudan’s keenness to continue partnership and cooperation with the United States in various fields, in a manner that preserves the achievements made during the past period and builds on them in the future to serve the common interests of the two countries.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations between Khartoum and Washington, in addition to the developments of the current situation in the country.
For his part, the Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy in Khartoum, Brian Shukan, called for the need to continue the path of democratic transformation, expedite the formation of the executive government and complete the rest of the transitional authority structures.
