Khartoum – February 13, 2022 AD — Lieutenant-General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, Vice President of the Sovereign Council, directed the immediate start of counting and registering all refugees in the country, reviewing the camps, and activating legal and police procedures on the country’s borders.

The Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, during a meeting with the Minister of Interior, the Director-General of the Police Forces, Lieutenant-General Anan Hamed Muhammad Omar, in the presence of the Commissioner for Refugee Affairs, Mr. Musa Ali Atron, listened to the progress of the work of the Commission for Refugee Affairs during the last period, and plans and programs.

The Commissioner of Refugees, Musa Ali Atron, confirmed that he had informed the Vice-President of the Council of all procedures related to refugees in Sudan, especially the registration and inventory program in solidarity with the High Commissioner for Refugees, noting that, according to the new directives, they will speed up the pace of registration processes, focusing on the eastern states, and announced that The plan adopted the completion of all inventory and registration processes electronically by the end of the year 2022 AD, including clarifying the states most overcrowded with refugees. accurate, and that the upcoming registrations will enable the state to know the real numbers.
