Sudan’s Chief of Staff meets the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Forces

Cairo 3/17-2022 (SUNA) – Lieutenant-General Mohamed Othman Al-Hussein Al-Hassan, Chief of Staff of the Sudanese Armed Forces and his accompanying delegation met yesterday in Cairo with Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, as part of the activities of the eighth meeting of the Sudanese-Egyptian Military Committee, which An official reception ceremony was held for His Excellency and the honor guard was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense, and the national anthems of the two brotherly countries were played.

The meeting discussed several issues and topics of common interest and prospects for cooperation between the two brotherly countries.

After the meeting, the closing session of the eighth meeting of the Sudanese-Egyptian Joint Military Committee was held, headed by the Sudanese and Egyptian Chiefs of Staff.

For his part, Lieutenant-General Osama Askar confirmed that the visions and viewpoints of both sides match, expressing his aspiration that the next phase will witness more cooperation in all fields, explaining that what was agreed upon during the talks meets the aspirations of the two countries in security and stability.

Lieutenant-General Muhammad Othman Al-Hussein, Chief of Staff, stressed the need for joint action to ensure the security and stability of the region, pointing to the consensus of visions on formulating a joint strategy to achieve the interests of the two countries.
