Khartoum 10/05/2022 — The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Dr. Abu Bakr Omar Al-Bushra today in his office at the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, Mr. Taymour.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Sudan and Russia in the agricultural field to complement what was agreed upon following the minister’s visit to Russia in the previous period, where it was agreed to establish a fertilizer factory and establish an agricultural university in Sudan, with its plant, animal and technical parts.
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Al-Bushra praised the Sudanese-Russian relations and said that Sudan enjoys great natural and human resources and a geographical location that puts it close to the most important global markets.
For his part, Timur, representative of the Ministry of Agriculture in Russia, expressed his aspiration to develop and strengthen relations between Sudan and Russia and said that Sudan is a country rich in natural resources, which makes it attractive to investors.
He pointed out that Russia seeks to enhance cooperation in several areas, including food security, training, capacity building, and work to enhance and improve agricultural production.
